Here's the backstory...

My Journey as a Therapist, Parent and Never-Ending Learner

I came to the United States of America in 2001 as an exchange student from Venezuela, and at the time, I could barely speak English.

I was fortunate enough to live with a wonderful American family who opened their home to me, allowing me to pursue my college education here.

Fast forward to my graduation with a MASTER'S DEGREE in Communication Disorders from the University of Florida, where I became a Speech Language Pathologist.

One of my first roles was working in a school system's self-contained department, primarily with children with AUTISM.

It didn't take long for me to realize my passion for working with these children and their families.

I actively sought additional training to deepen my knowledge and enhance my ability to help.

In 2020, I became pregnant with my third child and made the decision to stay home and HOMESCHOOL my 2 older children.

My son, 5 at the time, had HYPERACTIVITY and EMOTIONAL/BEHAVIORAL deficits. Staying home with him and being more present were some of the reasons I put my professional career on hold.

I knew in my heart that there was no one, other than God, who loved my child more than me.

I knew that God gifted me with him because he knew I would be the best mother for him even if I didn't believe it.

My passion for holistic approaches to health and wellness became a guiding force in my journey as a parent and a professional.

I dedicated countless hours to watching documentaries, reading books on natural healing, purchasing parenting courses, homeopathy courses, always seeking ways to support my family and help my son with his hyperactivity and emotional outbursts.

These resources deepened my understanding of the connection between mind, body and spirit, and how they influence behavior and overall well-being.

This knowledge informed everything I were to bring to the table as a Holistic Autism Coach.

During my second year of homeschooling my children, I decided to partner up with a Proactive Wellness company promoting high quality supplements because it gave me the flexibility to work a couple hours a week from home and continue to homeschool.

These supplements had a huge impact in my overall energy as well as my son's focus and calmness. I enjoyed sharing with others, hearing their testimonies and being able to do it from home.

Then one day in summer of 2024, during prayer, I felt called to create a platform where I could serve other Moms or Dads like me.

I had a burning desire to help parents who were desperate to find solutions but needed support.

I wanted to serve not just my community locally but also internationally and that is when "Andreina Ballester as Holistic Autism Coach" was born.

I believed I could empower families with natural strategies and tools that could foster emotional regulation and communication skills in conjunction with practical conventional strategies I successfully implemented with children in therapy.

By integrating holistic practices into our daily lives, I would aim to create a nurturing environment that promoted healing and growth, not just for my son, but for all the families I worked with. I was excited to share with others a journey of discovery and transformation.

Throughout my journey, I've learned that it truly takes a VILLAGE.

Everything I have accomplished has been guided by the courses I've taken and mentors who have supported me.

I wanted to become a RESOURCE for other parents.

My personal experience with my son, has given me insight into the feelings of helplessness and frustration that many parents face.

I understand the journey of reading countless books, seeking advice, and praying for guidance.

It's this shared experience that fuels my passion for empowering others.
